Staying Positive During Winter

Some of us can’t get enough of Winter, especially in our Blue Mountain Winter Wonderland – with daily trips to the ski hills and trails. As someone who loves living in a four season destination, and considers myself an advocate for our area – I too enjoy Winter (for a short period of time). I’ve struggled for years during the winter and came to realize I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder; finding January and February particularly difficult months.

Winter can be tough! The days are shorter, the weather is colder, and days are greyer. But, as I sit here typing this Blog the sun is shining and there is still a lot of positivity to be found during the winter months. Here are a few tips on how to stay positive during the winter season.

Take advantage of the cooler weather to get some fresh air and exercise. Go for a walk, take a hike, or even build a snowman. Being outdoors can help to lift your spirits and give you an appreciation for the winter season

Even though winter can seem dreary at times, there are still good things to be found. Take the time to appreciate the beauty of the snow-covered landscape, the cozy fireside evenings, or even the simple joy of a cup of hot cocoa.
